There’s a bacon news site! Bacon Today, and according to it, when Daniel Craig was filming Quantum of Solace, he had bacon sarnies (bacon butty) delivered to him every day. (One of the Brit Dopers want to explain to us Yanks WTH that is? Thanks.) Apparently, there’s a bacon flavored bourbon, but details are sorely lacking on where this might be obtained. :frowning: Here, however, is a recipe for bourbon maple ice cream with bacon!

Our Iowa Dopers seem to be bogarting the bacon on us, as there’s a Blue Ribbon Bacon Festival in Iowa.

Bacon Show: 1 bacon recipe a day, every day, forever.

And we’re still waiting to hear from the Dopers who got the baconnaise.

ETA: The bacon in this case was likely back bacon (aka Canadian bacon), not streaky bacon (aka what most Americans think of when they think of bacon)

What a bacon butty is, is awesome. It’s made with rashers of bacon (which are really about halfway between American-style bacon and Canadian-style peameal bacon). I ate one with coleslaw and hot mustard almost three times a week for a while back in Oxford, it kept up one’s spirits nicely during the long dark winter.
