Happy Moonday!
I’m up way too early and have been up since something like 4am
The temps are creeping back up, and it’s rainy outside. We had to close the windows and put on the AC because of the humidity.
I’m getting ready to put a load of clothes in the washer. Then fix something to eat. I’m going to try to stay awake all day today and the maybe I’ll sleep through the night tonight. I doubt it’ll work because I’ve tried it before.
Nothing special to do today, just like most other days, but that’s the way I like it.
I’m working at get myself back to being more organized, I hate the feeling that I’m drifting through my day.
Aaarrrr, matey.
also, blurf
Bacon only rebels for me if I have a stomach flu.
And I have visited Jamestown, VA and been suitably unimpressed.
And…that’s all I’ve got, except I now have a need for a bacon sammich for breaking fast.
Otherwise; not much, but could be an interesting week, my roof is being replaced on Wednesday and I get my new washing machine on Firday, so we’ll see what adventrues await.
Bacon is a cured meat. You know who ate cured meat…& not enough fresh veggies? Do you?
Pirates, that’s who!
I propose we talk like 'em!
Made it thru yestidy w/o any ibuprofen. Still weird brushing my teeth as where I usually start is where the hole is & where I’m not supposed to brush. He gave me some special mouthwash to use for one week.
In Soviet Jamestown, Bacon burns you.
Having a last name like Bacon, kind of a synonym for Pig. Sir Francis Pig?
Good Mornin’ ye scurvy dogs! I be up and caffeinatin’. AAARRRGGGHHH I be meanin’ YAWN 'Tis a cloudy and muggy 74 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 89 and maybe tstorms. That remains to be seen.
No real big plans for the day. Tonight is men’s night over to the church house which means I shall head over there earlyish to get things ready. I enjoy gettin’ over there to set up and all. OYKW will accompany me to assist and he knows the routine for settin’ up. Yes, I have developed a routine. I need to get some things from the sto’ and I think I shall go to :eek:Wally Jr. for that just cause it is convenient to get in and out of pretty quick.
Now I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy wants to be fed. I suppose I should also purtify before goin’ out in the public. Such is retired life.
Be havin’ a Happy Moanday me mateys!
Arrrr! Tis, up, caffeinated, and sheveled. It be a wet and drizzly morn.
French exam this afternoon, to try and get into the lessons at the local Official Language School. Pas de bacon a l’Ecole, je pense.
Thank you for my first laugh of the day - just dumb enough to make me giggle!
Blurf.
I’m vegetarian, I don’t have anything to do with bacon indignant sniff (actually, I lurves veggie fake bacon, far more than I ever did the meat kind when I et meat).
I have a fair bit to do with talking like a pirate though-arojnd here, every day is talk like a pirate day (it’s true, the cliché pirate accent is legitimately based on the local accent).
I just got back from visiting [del]the third world[/del] Oop North for the weekend, with no internet or even phone-in some muppets laying a cable managed to cut the phone lines. Was like the middle ages, I tell thee.
Also just picked up the car, after leaving it at the garage for the weekend to get its MOT (annual safety check), it’s the first time I’ve had it done on this car, after having to have my old one scrapped in May, so I was a bit nervous. It was fine; needed new wiper blades, and there is a little rust on the exhaust, but not enough to be a problem. I need to book it it for a service as a reward for doing so well.
Happy moanday all!
I’m so, so tired. And today is crazynuts at work thus far.
So, so tired.
Blurf.
Made a spinach dish this weekend using bacon and great northern beans (as well as, of course, spinach). Bacon sure tastes yummy but I can’t consume it these days without experiencing guilt over the harm I know it’s doing to my body/arteries whenever I eat it.
Aaarrh! (That’s Blurf, for years scurvy landlubbers.) No bacon yet for me. Still need more caffeine.
Puppy dog scared me this morning. She was between me and Tony on the bed, and Tony rolled over and Pandora let out a big yelp. I have literally never heard her yelp, but apparently Tony kneed her in the spine. She’s walking normally now, and acts fine. But we lost our last Pyr to osteosarcoma, and I’m paranoid.
Stayed up late chatting with my son - there was a legitimate manhunt near campus last night, and some idiot decided to start a rumor that the clowns had been spotted. It would have been funnier if emergency workers hadn’t been pulled away from searching for armed robbery suspects to respond to mass hysteria. (Seriously, at 1 o’clock this morning, the campus police chief was making traffic stops, while other city and campus cops were breaking up crowds armed with baseball bats. And according to a friend who works there, folks were at Walmart trying to buy ammo. Sigh.) Exciting. (I was listening to the local EMS scanner on-line. At 2am, there were 6600 people listening to the feed. Normally, it’s about 10-20.)
The Boy and his roomies were smart enough to realize that it was all bogus, at least. And their photo of their “Clown Apocalypse Response Team” was awesome - goofy headgear and glasses all around, and armed with garden tools ×3, plus an axe. (Fender, I think. Might have been a Gibson or a Yamaha.)
Did outside work over the weekend. Gotta clean house today. Whee!
Good morning, checking in. Not much to report here. Just lazing before work.
Hope everyone is well.
Nice surprise when I went to fetch my lunch - it was raining good and hard! My sweetie said it’s been raining at home all day, too. Huzzah!
**FCD **saw his Dr today and all seems to be going as expected. He was prescribed some non-narcotic pain meds and the doc OK’d him to drive to FL, so that trip is now in the planning stage.
Such an exciting morning!
A happy rainy Monday to you all (rainy here, at any rate). Just preparing to go on my daily walk.
