Bacon?

There’s no way I could eat them (even if I wanted to), they’re just too damned cute!

They’d make really cute hors d’oeuvres. I thought mini-smoky links for the head and feet; but gherkins would work too.

Maybe, if your butcher has bacon in uncut slabs. I think you’d have to go for a super-thick slice of bacon (or pancetta or proscuitto) and then cut it into the longest 1/4 by 1/4 sticks you could. Place two sticks in an star-shape for feet-head-tail, form the patties around them and then wrap in the bacon weave. Make sure to make the head piece a bit thicker than the feet, and the tail a bit thinner.
