Bad bad bad Bed. (Dang it discourse)

Yeah, bed.

Someone (some jerk) dumped a nasty mattress at my gate.

First..could they have not drove further down the road? Still my road. Would have still have had to remove it ourselves. But it wouldn’t be at the gate.

Second..you know you can take it to the dump, right?

Third.. possibly don’t dump your paper trash at the same time. We know your name and address and your bank needs a word with you about a few overdrafts. FYI.

I’d make a police report, but I hold no hope in my heart that would do anything but cost me a lot of time and trouble.

Let’s shame you on Facebook. (?)

Actually my daughter found the person on there. I don’t think I’d have her call them out, tho’. I don’t like that stuff.

Alas, my son took it to the dump. $7 lost forever.

(PS..discourse doesn’t like my title)

Could have been an accident: Someone’s moving and the mattress fell out the back in transit. Losing a mattress seems really careless/clueless and wait until they get where they’re going.

Years ago, I was helping a lady friend of mine move and I was third car in line in the caravan, when the pickup in front went around a curve and one drawer of her makeup table slid open and reams of her papers/pix/what have you flew out all over downtown Baltimore. I honked, I was ignored. She was livid.

Where were they gonna live? The woods?

You can get to the next county but it’s the long way and it’s funny you can’t dump old mattresses that direction.
