Bad fiction and the Internet

Okay, I’ll step up. :slight_smile:

I’ve written several web-published novels, novellas, and short stories in the Shadowrun RPG universe, which can be found here. While I’m quite sure that there is plenty of room for improvement in all of them, I’m also reasonably sure that I’m not “inflicting Rockroids-style horrors to the rest of humanity.” :slight_smile:

You’re right, though: if I’m going to criticize, I’ll put my head out there on the block to be criticized right back.

I wasn’t “complaining” so much as exchanging amused observations. Also, I know I’ve committed some of the offenses people complain about… although I don’t think I completely suck.

I posted this web-novel in 1995, when web fiction wasn’t quite as common as it was now. I was interviewed by a couple of people and cited in articles about this “new trend” of web publishing. Sigh.
