Bad guys you KNOW will show up in Smallville

So far we’ve had, what, a half dozen Smallville “mutants.” With the exception of the girl who could change her appearance, they were all pretty standard fare, comparable w/ various Buffy monsters or X-Files eps. Not bad, but nothing overwhelmingly creative either.

More baddies we’re going to see in Smallville, sooner or later:
A telekinetic,
someone who can become invisible,
someone who can control the weather,
someone who can control the earth (I’m assuming the writers are going to hit all the elements),
someone who can astral project,
a witch,
a ghost (preferably Whitney’s),
a “ghost in the machine” baddie,
various mutated animals,
a monster made of at least 50% kryptonite,
and Lex Luthor, brandishing those swords he keeps behind his desk.

Ooh, I wanna play.

A vampire.
A fire guy (what? We had an ice dude)
A seductress who kills boys by having sex with them
Cheerleader demon
Possessed car
An animal with kryptonite- I can see dog or cat, but fish is just too “South Park”
A baby who just gets born to a woman who had kryptonite in her system for awhile
A possessed teacher
Kryptonite that opens up a vortex to an alternate universe

Is it just me, or are all these villains madly sexy? Bug boy, the old man (as a kid again), and of course, Lex Luthor…ahhh…<heart skips beat> And Clarke’s not too bad himself. Oh yeah, and Whitney. This show is just eye candy, isn’t it?

Y’know, I can think of a very happy convergence of the two.

Then there’s the even happier combination of “sex demon who kills boys by having sex with them after possessing the body of a girl” and Lana Lang…

I have a feeling even Clark wouldn’t mind being seduced by Lana under those circumstances. :stuck_out_tongue: Of course, she’s no longer a cheerleader…Sigh.

Hey, I want to see more episodes where Clark has to excercise maddening self control to keep himself from looking at the girls changing in the locker room, stuff like that.

Wasn’t the football coach the “fire guy”?

Ghost of Whitney, did I miss an episode?

Yes, it is all eye candy, and Lana is the Savoy Truffle. I sure hope she learns to act and they give her some good lines.

OK, I foresee the following coming to Smallville:

A robot that uses kryptonite as a power source.
Mad scientists by the dozens.
Someone who can fly, forcing Clark to learn how to.
An enemy who gets Clark’s powers through some kind of energy transfer.
A demon/ghost/what-have-you that possesses Lana
Possibly villians that normally don’t appear until Clark becomes Superman, examples of these are:
Mxyzptlk
Another Kryptonian

Granted, if they do introduce these types of characters, they are basically saying to Hell with continuity.

On a couple side notes, where the HELL are Clark’s glasses? Hmmm? And, am I the only one who thinks that Clark’s friend Chloe (I think that’s her name) is cuter than Lana?

yea, they did the fire guy. It makes you wonder why everyone gets a different power. Why doesn’t it effect two people even remotely the same?

Clark’s friend Chloe is cute, but extremely annoying, and not nearly as cute as Lana, who is also annoying.

What I really want to see are established (in the comics) villains and heroes show up in Smallville.

They’ve certainly made no efforts to stay with the Comic continuity (why should they really) so what I want to see is:

A young Wally West (or Barry Allen) come to Smallville as part of the Key City track team competing with the Small Ville Crows. So we can have a Superman/Flash team up.

Some sort of mystery in Smallville where a young Bruce Wayne, who just happens to be traveling through town , some how gets invloved. He is the world’s greatest Detective after all, or he will be someday. Or make Bruce a young millionare friend/rival of Luthors.

I’d like to see Bizarro some how be worked in.But not Bizarro World. But he could easily be worked in to a Alternate reality or Kryptonite Portal storyline.

I want to see (and won’t, mind you):

Clark sitting at a park bench as a red-haired guy walks up and says “Hi, Superboy” and wanders off. Then, when Clark’s Superboy, a blonde girl says “Hi Clark”. IE: I want the Legion. I wanna see them do the Mordru Story where the Legion hides out back in Smallville.

I want Master Myxtzptlk(sp)

The Kryptonite Kid

Red Kryptonite

The story where Master Myxtzptlk(sp) helps Superboy defeat the Kryptonite Kid by turning the Kryptonite Kid into RED kryptonite (which turned him good) because if the Kryptonite Kid killed Superboy, who would Master Myxtzptlk torment?

Bruce (The Flying Fox) Wayne

Krypto

A time-lost Supergirl (when she was still Superman’s secret weapon) (and a game of tag amongst the asteroids)

Lana Lang, Insect Queen

A journey back to Krypton featuring Jor-El in a green jumpsuit with a red sunburst on his chest…lots of art-deco tech.

Mon-El

A retelling of the original Bizarro story

Beppo the Super-Monkey

The Phantom Zone (featuring a big red spotlight projector)

The story where Jor-El’s robot tutor shows up on Earth. It’s the same story where Clark gets laid for the first time (seriously!)

Abin Sur

Like I said: I ain’t gonna get any of these, but wouldn’t it be cool?

Fenris

Naw, unfortunately not. I just don’t like the kid. Besides being eye candy for Zoggie, I just see no reason for his continued presence on the show. Sure as the romantic rival for Clark, but even in this capacity he seems a little too…one-dimensional as a character, just the walking talking incarnation/place-holder varsity jock.

Now if they actually made him a nice guy, as hinted at in the first 15 or so minutes of the first episode, it may be another story.

And, Fenris, I’m sure you’ll get Beppo the Super Monkey when it’s shark jumping time.

Hell, I want more episodes where Clark does look in the girl’s locker room. You know, to, um, find the evil Smallville High girl’s locker room ghost?

Good. Killing Whitney would be a mistake. The guy can act (although he is too old for the part) and his character is almost normal. Nice one minute and a big jerk the next. Reminds me of teenagers I know. Adults too.

I have to disagree about Chole being prettier than the Lana character. (Sorry I don’t know the actor’s names yet.) Lana is almost etherally pretty making the myth of being hopelessly unattainable more real for Clark. It’s also clear that Lana has a thing for Clark too.

The producers have said they’d like to have Bruce Wayne in an episode.

I agree about Whitney. I thought in the first episode it would be different and he would be a nice guy and it would make the whole thing more complicated. Oh well, he does sort of jump back and forth between jerk and ok guy.

I also agree that more locker room scenes are necessary, for, you know, plot development and so forth.

What? No one’s mentioned Braniac?

It’d be a shame if he doesn’t put in an appearance at some point.

And hey, maybe a young Lois Lane could come through town and stir up some trouble with Lana.

Ah, how could I forget this one: there’s going to be a psychic bad guy that can somehow access other people’s memories. He’ll find out Clark’s secret. He’ll also be a vegetable by the end of the episode.

How about Yo-yo Diet Girl. She’s fat, she’s thin, she’s fat again.

They should also have one with no “freak of the week.” What I’d really like to see is Clark visiting Metropolis and, while standing outside the Daily Planet (with Chloe, who is thrilled) a beautiful girl walks in front of the camera saying “It’s my dream to work here some day!” A friend then says, “Come on, Lois, let’s get going.”

Unfortunately, they’ve since canned the idea.

Y’know, Spoke, when I first saw the thread title, Brainiac was the first one to come to mind.

There’s been plenty of time travel in the DC universe ('specially around Superman), so it would make sense to alter the continuity. Unfortunately, they’d have to pull a Sphere and make everyone forget about it afterwards.

Or they could have Clark fly around the Earth, counter-rotation, really, really fast.
