Anyone know where to send a get well card?
C/O the Cardinals?
Damn. Diabetes. I’ve lost most of my toes to infection. I’m thankful I haven’t lost more than that and I can still walk around and drive a car. Here’s hoping Lou does well with his prosthetic leg.
This is bothering me a lot more than I would have anticipated. My favorite player growing up was Gibson (that’d be Bob), but Brock was second. Can still see him in my mind’s eye making that mad dash to second, culminating in that quick pop-up slide…seems impossible that he would lose one of his legs. Pfft.
Plus which, if my childhood heroes are in their mid to late seventies, what does that say about how old I am…??
Well my Google-Fu appears strong. On this web site I found Lou’s mailing address to be:

Send it to the Cubs. They’ll trade it for a post card of Ernie Broglio.
