Bad Santa (2003)

We just re-watched this, it holds up remarkably well and yes, that kid is brilliant, I’m glad to see he does still have a career as an actor.

How can someone drop me on my own head?
Also, the destroying of the alarm clock.

“Well shit in one hand and wish in the other and see which one fills up first.”

Kid: “okay.”

IKR?

I love how he looks like a grazing reindeer in that moment …

… but it always kinda took me out of the scene, too, because, that character is NOT a “salad” kind of a person.

Must’ve been really subtle; I totally missed that.

You’re not the only one.

You gotta be in the right mood. (Irreverent, for sure. Slightly drunk helps.)

Thank us later.

I love how resigned he is to the lunacy in his life.

OMG was the blonde skateboarding bully outside the mall the same guy who played Draco Malfoy?!?

“Good night, Santa. Good night, Mrs. Santa’s sister.”

I’ve told friends about Bad Santa, but it’s hard to convey how funny it is. From the premise, Bad Santa sounds like a Bad Movie, yet it’s very, very funny. One reason is that it’s committed to its premise. The bad characters are really bad, and even though there’s Willie has a redemption arc, he redeems himself in a bad way.

Very well put.

No one else could have done that roll so well.

The Ritter/Mac scenes are pure gold.

In the mall shoot-out scene there’s baby mannikin that takes one in the head, I LOLed so hard at the theater.

I agree, but also read on some movie trivia site that it is was due to Billy Bob being a vegan IRL.

I had always assumed it was so he could spew the lettuce onto the woman and kid. I guess I pictured they tried that scene with different foods and salad was the funniest.
