Bad Songs To Listen To While Waiting For A Final

I’m sitting here, trying to kill time before my final starts. Of course, I’ve got some music going. However, I don’t think it’s quite the right music to get me in the mood for taking a test. Songs that I played recently (or had stuck in my head before this and thus had to play):

25 Minutes to Go
Another Brick in the Wall, Part II
(Don’t Fear) The Reaper
Under Pressure
Highway to Hell
Blue Collar Man

It’s really easy to do if you’re just looking at titles, a little more difficult if you are actually thinking about the lyrics. So, what are some other counter-productive finals-waiting songs?

If the tune to Musci Box Dancer gets stuck in my head it makes me stupid.
Perhaps you should listen to Working at the Carwash Blues to inspire you to not fail.

One of my favorites for finals week was Rape Me by Nirvana.

We’re done here - the answer is:

If You Want Blood by AC/DC off their Highway to Hell album. Few things will get you psyched up and ready to go like this song.

I listened to it before every test in college and business school and had great results…

No, no. BAD songs to listen to before finals!

There’s a Radiohead song that goes “Hey… man… slow down… slow down… keep breathin’…” which could be good or bad, depending how much sleep you need and how much studying you need.

Where Is My Mind?

Song on the radio when my alarm went off, the morning of my PhD (in mediaeval history) exams: Sam Cooke’s ‘Wonderful World’ – you know, the one that starts ‘Don’t know much about history…’

:stuck_out_tongue:

how is ABitW part 2 (well, part any) “bad”? It has the best guitar solo in history.

Ridin the storm out – REO?
Hot For Teacher - Van Halen
Walk like an Egyptian - Bangles (all the kids so sick of books…)
It’s the End of the World as We Know it – Riddlin’ Kids cover

Morning Final, Blue Oyster Cult:

Admittedly, the ‘final’ here has nothing to do with school, but don’t you sometimes just get stressed enough to go on a shooting rampage anyway?

The Final Countdown
