badger5149, please leave, you add nothing

Oh man, THANK YOU! I love this thread. I have no opinion about the OP, other than that I’m in the same boat as Captain Amazing, but I got to discover the fearsome fearlessness of Honey Badgers (I’ve been obsessed with watching other YouTube videos about them), learned a new catchphrase, re-discovered Wild Kingdom (until this morning I had no idea there’s a whole Wild Kingdom YouTube channel!) and learned that grandfatherly, meeky-mannered, high-voiced Perkins was as badass as the Honey Badgers.

Now, could someone tell me, what’s the reference to mushroom MUSHROOM about, and will I regret it if I pursue it?

It’s a take off on that catchphrase, in the video Boyo Jim posted about in Post 55. “Honey Badger don’t care. Honey Badger don’t give a shit!”

It’s hwhat hWhil hWheaton has.

He is paraphrasing the honey badger thing.

And yes, you’ll regret it.

“Snake, it’s a SNAAAAAAKE!”

Rumor has it, if you watch it 100 times, you get a hidden message from Weebl.

“Stop wasting our bandwidth and do some calisthenics or something”?

Even freakin’ Betty White knows about the Honey Badger!

I think it’s really funny that the meme has spread so far that in a story in today’s Washington Post, there’s a story describing Colorado Secretary of State Scott Gessler as the “honey badger of Colorado politics.”

Well, it is comforting to know that at least my species has some redeeming qualities.

To be fair, its ferocity has been known awhile. South Africa named an armored vehicle after them.

Which are you? A honey badger or a badgerbadgerbadger? Honey badgers are more closely related to martens, the red headed stepchild of mustelids.

Well seeing as how I have a large American Badger tatooed on my forearm it would be a bit late to claim a relation to the honey badger. Been a nickname since I was a kid.

Snerky Snerk:

How many hispanic mechanics does it take to insert a spark plug?

Oh, two thumbs —uh - up!

Even in Britain, the ferocity of the honey badger is known (though apparently the subject of some debate).

I couldn’t answer that, all of my hispanic mechanics worked only on diesels.

All right then, how many hispanic mechanics does it take to insert a diesel spark plug? Duh!

For the record, I also feel greatly embiggened by how much I’ve learned in this single thread! Though that badgerbadgerbadger song is now stuck in my synapses.

I haven’t had the courage to watch it yet, though thanks Telemark, for the link.

Did you watch the long version (10:00:03) to see if there was anything hidden in it?

The original was a looping Flash animation, so anything there is not Jonti’s. Except 73 minutes in, your consciousness shifts and you see neon badgers. The timer resets if you look at your watch.
