Growing up on the shores of Chesapeake Bay, I heard Chessie used to refer to a sea monster(from Nessie for the Loch Ness monster), and the cat-like logo of the C&O Railroad(from The Chessie System conglomerate), - never the retriever. But I’ve been away for a few decades - is that a thing now?
