Pete Gogolak for pioneering soccer style kicking
Lou Groza, from the Cleveland Browns (1950s-60s) who fittingly earned the nickname “The Toe.”
Jan Stenerud, KC Chiefs - who could have won the 1971 playoff game in regulation had Hank Stram let him try a 65-yard field goal on the last play. Stram decided against it, and this game went on to become the longest game in NFL history, a double-overtime playoff classic won by Garo Yepremian’s (#10 in this list) kick. The game was in Kansas City, and it was on Christmas Day.
