The “Brian Johnson Game,” 18 Sep 1997, San Francisco Giants, Candlestick Park. Rod Beck shuts down a Dodgers rally and then Brian Johnson hits his bottom-of-the-12th walk off home run to sweep and tie the Dodgers on their way to winning the NL West division, and I and my later-to-be-wife (version 2.0) were there. Good stuff, Maynard.

1989 NLCS, Game 5, Cubs @ Giants, Candlestick Park. Will “The Thrill” Clark triples in the bottom of the 7th, then scores to tie the game 1-1. Then Clark (NLCS MVP) hits the GWRBI off of Mitch “Wild Thing” Williams in the 8th. The Giants win the pennant!!!. I was there with my brother.

1986 world Series Game 6 at Shea Stadium. I was in the right field nose bleed section; we were the first ones to see the parachuter. Then there was Buckner’s error. And of course the Mets won that game, and then the series. Almost 30 years later and I still remember it vividly

Iron Bowl 2013- I’m not usually a football fan at all, but it was an exciting game and won by a last seconds touchdown by Auburn.
