You wait in line forever and when you see the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution there’s a mob and the documents are so faded you can barely make anything out. (If the rumors are true they sometimes display exact duplicates to help preserve the originals, so there’s a chance you’re not seeing the real things anyway.)

It’s not a museum, more like a cheesy light and sounds show with a lot of screaming and lame stage effects. Tacky! I saw it 20+ years ago and according to current Yelp reviews it’s still the same.

You can learn the history on line at home, and there is usually almost nothing there to see.
