Sorry for being too vague, I was going for groups where the “core” and/or frontmen of the band are still alive but won’t re-unite for other reasons.
The Doors have re-united without Jim Morrison so they wouldn’t count either way.
The Dead wouldn’t qualify because Gerry is dead, and The Monkees would have been a good choice up until last month when Davy Jones died.
The Talking Heads did re-unite years ago without David Byrne, and released the album No Talking, Just Head but it wasn’t the same.

My suggestion: Just let everyone choose whatever answer they have in mind and don’t worry if their selections do or do not match your intent - it’s just a silly game, after all.

It’s a tough category. I thought of three bands that I was pretty sure would never reunite (the Sex Pistols, Blondie, and the Cars) due to some members very emphatically saying there would never be a reunion. And in all three cases I find that there subsequently has been a reunion. Apparently the lure of major concert money overcomes a lot of reluctance.

Yeah, I know. Members of Fleetwood Mac constantly state that there will be no “reunion”, then somebody throws $50 million at them, then voila! Reunion. Right now it’s Christie McVie’s turn to play spoilsport - I guess she’s looking for a $100 million payday. :slight_smile:
