Yes, I’ve done it. I’d been threatening to do it for years.
I shaved my head! Actually, I had a barber do it. You’d be surprised how many places say they shave heads, but never have the actually head-shavers there when you you need ‘em. Had to make six calls before I found one that could take me today.
It feels weird. Almost like a babies’ butt. New skin that’s never been touched. And it’s not quite the same color as the rest of my face. And I’m doing a double-take every time I pass my reflection.
But I look keeeewwwwlllll. Mucho Caliente, baby!
So long as that isn’t what it SMELLS like…
I’m sorry, but I can’t smell my own head.
You know that tons of strangers will ask you if they can touch your head now?
May I?
b dodgy
Be my guest, BornDodgy!
Actually, six people have already rubbed it. 3 didn’t even ask.
I hope you live someplace warm, or your head will get cold in the winter.
Our friend Corey keeps his head shaved and he looks very good that way. But here in frigid Minnesota, he keeps lots of warm winter hats.
A few weeks ago, my nine-year-old decided to give himself a “trim”. He grabbed a hunk of his hair and cut it down near the roots. I had to take him to the barber for a buzz cut. I haven’t been able to stop messing with his hair since; it’s just so “plushy”. There’s just something about a nearly bald head!
I like my son’s hair this way, now that I’ve gotten over the initial shock.
Welcome to the club, spoojster!
Do you plan to keep it that way, or is this just a one-time fluke? (If it is, you only get a temporary club pass, you understand.)
I think I’m a permanent member. It’s pretty cool.
