I did it! I shaved my head today!!!

I did it! I have a velcro head now.
My stubble is about 1/32 of an inch.

Sorry but I have no digital camera, webcam or scanner.

Man, this feels strange, but good.

Ladies, if you want to feel it, get in line, but Persephone gets first dibs.

Cool… I’ve done a buzz cut for about 3 years now. Women love to feel it for some reason. I’ve found about 1/2 inch of hair is the best… I’ll probally just shave it when I really start going bald… LOL

The best part about it is NO MORE PILLOW HAIR! and you never need to go to the barber (or hair stylist) again… Not to mention it makes you look mean and vicious. LMAO

The ultimate in wash and wear hair styles… I love it!

Oooooooh kiwi head.

:rub rub rub:

Ha Persephone I beat you to it!

Ok… I’m disturbed. I mean you shouldn’t have hair down there. Though I suppose shaving is more gentle then waxing.

::::shudders at the mental imagery oldscratch envokes::::

Wrong head, oldie!

Don’t tell me you have a bifurcated penis! Two of them? wow.

oh… THAT other head.

It’s one of those weird satisfactions that’s hard to describe unless you’ve been there. I like the way that the first time you walk outside, you can feel all the air currents.

Shaving yer head is really liberating.

The velcro bit is a pain in the arse though. Makes putting a T-shirt on a challenge (OK, so I have a boring life  ).

Well, speaking of hair, I chopped off about a foot of hair and shaved part of the back of my head. Random people are always coming up to me when my hair’s up and rubbing my “fuzz.” It’s the most annoying thing in the world when people steal your body heat from the back of your head.

Well, I have to say that I am not entirely happy with my results. I don’t really know what possessed me to do this other than the following:

[li] I couldn’t afford a “real” haircut, so I did it myself. Oops, bad move.[/li][li] It was an experiment to reveal how much of my hair has truly receded and thinned out. It’s going away more than I expected or had guessed. I estimate a loss of approximately six to eight square inches in the forhead area. :([/li][li] I was really, really bored.[/li][li] I plead temporary insanity.[/li]There’s an important event coming up in two and a half weeks that I had forgotten about, which I want to attend, and now wish I had my hair intact for that event.

Oh well, I am shit outta luck now.

BTW, I went out and about all over today. Didn’t get any attention, good or bad, for my newly exposed dome.

Someone shoot me.

::I’m gonna go see what caps I have now::

Bald is beautiful, my brother!!!

It’s a pain in the ass, though. Now if you’re bald, you have to grow a goatee. It’s the law!

Finally, a topic I can speak on without fear of being wrong.

No hat hair and no bedhead.

You will almost never lose a fleece hat. You will barely be able to remove one, if the truth be known.

I do the electric razor thing every morning. If you skip a day, it’s a pain to clean up when you go back. Also, people think you stop using shampoo when you go skin. NOT! The scalp skin is different from other skin and still deserves special consideration.

The 10 minutes a day you spend shaving will be the only hair maintenance you will do all day. Of course, if I had the hair for it, I would go full-on dreads or something (even though I am white).

Enjoy!

I already have a goatee, friend!

I love having my head shaved
At the moment it’s about 1/4 inch, which feels a bit shaggy. Need to buzz again soon.

You just didn’t notice the attention. We women who love bald heads can admire them from afar and from behind too.

Bald or balding, either way. It’s the sexiest look in the world.

Congratulations!

  1. Nice hair, Opal!
  2. Nice hair coloring, Opal!
  3. Hi Opal!

I was so busy getting information for my new Extra-Special Super-Secret Project That No One Knows About Yet But Soon They Will, that I missed the head shaving. Sorry about that, MSK. But hey, at least it was someone way cool that cut in front of me.

:::rubs MSK’s New fuzz:::
Mmmmmm. Nice. Head fuzz is neat.

And the cue ball is really great in the summer, too. I had my head shaved for a while, though now I keep it at 1/4" (blade guard #4 on my electric clippers).

Make sure to use sunscreen on your head. I shaved my head for a couple of years when I was in the army. As someone said earlier, it is very liberating. I just got my hair whacked not to long ago (not that short), and I love it. I think long hair on guys looks grody anyway though.

I love long hair on guys… mmmm…

(my husband’s hair is past the middle of his back)
