Yay!! I’m not a wierdo. (though my more modern tastes are book-ended by Jethro Tull, Pink Floyd and The Human League…so who knows?)
Actually, the Human league and Heaven 17 might also be worth a listen.

Hehehe, I had all but forgotten that one. Must…resist…urge to rip it off blatantly.
And I was never aware of that one, thanks!
Love that song, too. Apparently I need to watch a bunch of Yo Gabba Gabba. It seems like the Electric Company, if you’re on drugs.

Another one to try is Chicks On Speed.
But, molten, it would be nice if you came back into the thread and let us know which suggestions are hitting on what you consider “similar” to the Ting Tings. And what characteristics of their music you’re interested in.
Man, at this point, I kind of wish they would hold back for a bit longer. I’m enjoying the Rorschach aspect of “What sounds like The Ting Tings?” I’ve liked just about every band in this thread. Whatever that genre is, it’s apparently right up my alley.
There’s something about a good girl-power pop song. As I mentioned in another thread, apparently they get referred to these days as Pop Bangers.
Strangelove Addiction, by the Supreme Beings of Leisure - let this go for one minute - headphones really add to the effect when the song shifts. Supreme Beings of Leisure: Strangelove Addiction - YouTube
Divinyls, Make Out Alright - my favorite vocal by Ms. Whisky Kitten, Christina Amphlett, when she adds bits at the end. Divinyls - 'Make out alright' HQ - YouTube
Sleigh Bells immediately popped into my head. I thought to check on Google if they might be in the same sub-sub-genre or something, and found that they’ve toured together.
This may be a stretch, but how about Missing Persons?
