Bank of America -- this bodes ill

I thought Bank of American kept the NationsBank Chairman of the Board (Hugh McColl at the time), but the Bank of America Chief Executive Officer. Of course, that still put NationsBank (formerly North Carolina National Bank) at the top of the corporate heap.

You’re correct, Lib – I’d confused McColl with the BoA CEO (whose name I forget)! :o

That’s correct. When I said that the deal put NationsBank at the top of the heap, I meant the personnel from NationsBank — Hugh McColl, and so forth.
