On top of his many other strengths, which have been discussed exhaustively on the SDMB already, and which I will therefore not rehash in this thread, we now find that Senator Obama has that rarest of qualities in a politican: the ability to apologize sincerely when necessary.

You know, I’m torn, because on the one hand, that’s a jerkish kind of a joke from Obama, and on the other hand, this guy is writing a column - one which displays no sense of humor - about it two years later? Jeez.
Huh? Are you joking? Our nation’s leaders need to be apologizing for “messing up” some dude’s chance of getting laid?
Seems to me like he has a perfectly typical politician quality - not standing by a damn thing they say as soon as somebody’s poor wittle feelings are hurt.

Yeah but like I heard he like was doing donuts in his Corvette outside the back of the Senate and Harry Reid was all whining like dude you’ll like get us in trouble, you’re getting the Dems a bad name bla bla, and Barak was like no man Cheney can go fuck himself and then he pulled out a gun and waved it around but it wasn’t loaded but man if Cheney had seen him he’d have whaled on him.
