I saw that earlier. I think Obama could plausibly say that he was looking at the step as he was walking down it. Sarkozy, on the other hand is pretty obviously checking out the scenery.

That’s what we call ‘cover’ in the industry. Why else would he continue to be looking down while he reaches up and fumbles for the lady’s hand?

That video just shows that he’s got a very smooth technique . It’s almost imperceptible at normal speed. I suppose he’d have to get that way being married to Michelle.

No, I think it’s pretty clear he started off watching his step. Then he got distracted.
Clinton would have gotten her hotel room number in the time it took to take that picture, and Kennedy would’ve had banged her the entire night previous.
So, even if he was looking (and I don’t think he was), compared to some of his predecessors he was quite restrained. 
Yeah, that was pretty funny. In the video, he’s leaning back to look around Obama, starts at the feet, and works his way up.
Eh, it’s just like him being a secret smoker or saying “fuck” in private. I like knowing that he’s not as much as of a goody-two-shoes as he sometimes seems.
(and for the record, when I was typing the above, I spelled “as” as “ass.” That really was a memorable ass.)
That’s a pretty generous interpretation. He was clearly checking out the back porch, then realized and pretended to look at the ground while using peripheral vision.
Sarkozy waited till there was some interference(but not enough) and went for a good hard look.
Good to know Sarkozy hasn’t fallen off his game since marrying that model a year and a half ago.
