This is terribly exciting. I will surely buy it.

My book, not my injured knee, right Because only one of those will get blood all over you.

Well, I was waffling, but you’ve convinced me. I’ll take the book.

Coincidence. I watched a Mario lanza movie the other night (shocker) and Joan Fontaine was in it. So naturally I did a bit of digging and found the fued was still going on between her and Olivia. I thought it had been resolved- sort of like the Andrews sisters.

And Eve, interesting to see the mention of Marie Dressler. Sadly forgotten these days.

Rum and root beer? Intriguing…

Have you tried making a rum and coke with cream soda, or do you want to leave that experiment to me?

Hmmm, I will try that when I am out of root beer. I am in such pain today I can’t wait to get home and wash down a Tylenol 3 with some rum (a “Heath Ledger,” I call it).

Eve, there’s an evening of silent film this Friday here in Topeka.

I’ve heard of the director, Rex Ingram, but I have to work to keep him straight with the actor of the same name.

Yow, the photo in the newspaper article definitely shows there was no Hayes Code in effect yet. The guy who portrays the faun has a good muscular system, let me tell you. But the article says he was a dancer.

I’ve never seen the Magician–but would love to see the *Merry Widow *parody! Have you ever seen . . . oh, you know what, I should just start a thread.
