Barbie-doll Beyonce

I find this image of Beyonce – a very beautiful woman, IMHO – profoundly disturbing. I’ve been finding the image disturbing for months (Yahoo music uses it without ID in an ad), and find it even more disturbing now that I know who it is.

Is it just me, or is this the most vacuous, plastic presentation imaginable? She looks like a freakin’ blow-up doll.

C’mon, Twicks! She’s dreamin’ of being a Dream Girl!

(eeew…creepy)

She was actually pretty good in Dreamgirls – which is part of why I’m so distressed to see her looking like a '60s teen-age boy’s idea of what constitutes va-va-va-voom.

I think she’s a pretty good actress. She IS stunning, but I definitely like her better when her personality shines through.

Can’t wait to see Dreamgirls. Girl Groups rock!

If they made blow-up dolls like that, I might even buy one

No doubt. Would you want to date a woman who looked like that? More than once, anyway?

Not really, thats why I opted for the doll.

Well, at least we finally have the perfect picture to put in the dictionary next to vacuous.

In the first picture I ever remember seeing of Christina Aguilera, she looked exactly like a blow-up doll.

She looks Barbie Doll-ish in many photos, I think. She’s one of the current pop superstars I just don’t “get” - plenty of women out there as pretty as her; plenty of singers as good, yet there she is, everywhere.

And what’s creepy about that is that she may be twice those boys’ age! Well, not their ages NOW, but yeah, back then.

Though back then I lusted after Diana Rigg, who was old enough to be my, um, significantly older sister.

Weird: If I had been forced to guess, I would have put her in her early thirties.

People really thought she was 25?

Well, anyway, she may well be 25. I’m just saying she looks thirty.

I’m reminded of the alien dressed as a woman in Mars Attacks. I think it’s that hair style…

The lights are on, but nobody’s home.

Unless you’ve been home schooled, you can’t get away with lying about your age by more than a year or two anymore.

There are 30 kids who have a picture of her in Kindergarten class photos (& another 30 for 1st grade & so on & so on) and at least one of them has access to the net. When she first became famous, the “proof” that she’d lied by 7 years would have become public.

I think the 32 thing has been debunked.
