I just saw the video for Baby Boy. Good lord, that girl is HOT! I’ve seen plenty of videos before where I thought the girl was sexy. But I was mesmerized by her and her dancing. And turned on!
My husband is gonna have a heartattack when I tell him. Or maybe a hard on.
You’re not the only girl Beyoncé has that effect on, Biggirl. My ex-girlfriend is absolute mesmerized by her, too. Then again, she always seems just two steps away from becoming a lesbian anyway…
She is pretty. Sometimes I wonder, though, who’s the one telling her to look dumb in some poses. I like the Baby Boy video (but that also thanks to Sean Paul), yet there are some of her shots where she looks really dumb. Is that supposed to be sexy?
She still can’t dance.

It’s just so bad it’s unbelievable that by now no one in her production team has either noticed and stopped her from trying in the videos or gotten a choreographer that can make her look like she’s not having a seizure in front of the camera.
It’s just so truly awful that’s all I notice.
Is it just me or does that video/song seem heavily ariabic music influenced? It looks a lot like the shakira Obji-whatever (foreign Objection song) video.
But OT I do like the video (and she has a NICE body), just wish when she was rolling in the dirt at the end soneone woulda hosed her down. (HEH HEH Heh)
But, blasphemer, she got hosed down in “Crazy in Love.” I’ve been lusting after Beyonce since 1997 since I saw her in the “No, No, No” video with Wycleaf, but, of course, I am a heterosexual male. I can see why she could have an effect on straight females. She might be the single hottest female on my TV. Her, or Rudi Bakhtiar.
I was insanely attracted to her in Goldmember, but I think it was something about how she was dressed and how she acted, too, because I haven’t been that attracted to her when I’ve seen her in music videos or on posters in the mall.
Right, I was wondering if anyone else had noticed that the “writhing in the dirt while a vaguely Middle-Eastern mix plays” bit had been done by Shakira a year before (video for “Whenever, Wherever” a.k.a. “Suerte”). So Ms. Mubarak was rolling in mud and Ms. Knowles was in dry dirt, gee big difference… either way nice to watch, and I would not hesitate in hosing down either of them, either… 
And Biggirl, I’m betting on the “positive” reaction from your hubby.
(geez… Beyoncé is swiping that schtick from last year’s Shakira, Britney+Madonna are swiping the schtick from last year’s T.A.T.U. --who were themselves swiping [the schoolgirl look and the pseudo-lesbianism, respectively] from Brit+Mad’s respective pasts–, man, originality IS too much to hope for)

It’s bhangra, baby. You know that hip-hop/pop loves to “sample.” Now they’re “sampling” from punjabi harvest festival music. From a more informed source: Bhangra intro NPR style(maybe not dial-up friendly, but almost nothing is now) andhere’s a great source for listening to punjabi music free, although you pay a little bit in pop-up blocking

The second track on her Dangerously In Love CD is really middle-easter sounding. I think the song is called Naughty Girl. It’s a pretty good song, and I bet it’s going to be the next one released off the album.
It starts out with her singing “love to love you baby…” Isn’t it Donna Summers who sang that song?
Anyway, I can’t imagine what the Naughty Girl video will look like, because Baby Boy was a pretty sexy one!!! 
I thought about buying the CD when she released Crazy In Love. I thought the video was good, I thought the song was GREAT. Then I heard Baby Boy, and I was hooked!

I remember that Shakira video. When she shimmied down and stretched her leg over her head, I have to admit, I wasn’t turned on. I was a little frightened.
