My wife and I are loyal Soup watchers on Fridays and they found a real gem for us last week. We put it on to bring smile to our faces when we need it.
I mean, man, this video is absolutely and unintentionally hilarious. I think the scenes of Knowles dancing are so funny, I can not believe this video is supposed to be real. It looks like a Weird Al video making fun of a less funny dance video.
Her dancing is always crazy like that. I don’t think it looks good at all, but in the case of this video it is definitely hilariously awful. Whoever thought this was a good concept for a video was seriously on acid.
And the joke about Destiny’s Child was awesome, lol.
That reminds me of The Exorcist. It’s like a demon entered her body and started thrashing her around.
I couldn’t sit through the whole video so maybe this becomes more clear later on, but I can’t figure out whether the world is a post-apocalyptic wasteland because it’s run by girls, or whether girls only rise to power after everything goes to hell.
No. Don’t try to understand. Just take in the glory of the horrible dancing section that starts at 48 seconds in. There is just something about it that is horrendous…and brightens my day a lot.
Well, I clicked on your link, but it brings me to the ad/beginning of the video.
I have adblocker and still get the ads, so I guess there’s something I’m not flipping on/off in adblocker? I’m looking…Blocking the ad manually <at the screen> just gives me a blank screen and never moves on to the video. Now I have to figure out how to unblock it… >.<
A little backstory:
The hookers who rise up against the pimp dancing their way to freedom at the end of the “Love is a Battlefield” video run off and start their own society under a freeway overpass. Nearly 30 years later, having established an estrogen powered utopian hermitage, the outside world discovers them. The world of pimps and scolding fathers is crumbling under the weight of its own arrogance. They hope to rob this peaceful society of their powers. The Sororal Council rise to confront the interlopers and assert their Artemisian dominance.
