You didn’t actually have to go in Gate 5. You can enter via any gate.
It is stupid that they have the ticket windows where they do, though.

The woman at the gate absolutely insisted that we were required to enter via Gate 5, even given the mitigating factor of a four-year-old doing the PeePee Dance. Oh, well. Live and learn.
Another nice win by the D-backs last night. 2 ahead of the Dodgers now.
Back to back weekend series with the Dodgers at the end of August and Labor Day weekend should decide this.
Cubs.
Yep. And your team is going down hard.
A very ugly loss for the Yanks and they needed 5 pitchers to lose 14-3. Ponson looked terrible.
More bad news, apparently Carl Pavano is scheduled to pitch Saturday. Anyone want to place bets on how he will injure himself be getting on the mound?
Carl Pavano’s still in the major leagues?
Not yet, he will be on Saturday. (If he does not get in another unreported car accident, or trips go up the stairs, or maybe the L-Train will drop on him)
Perhaps Ponson has discovered that there are bars in Manhattan.
Maybe, but they were in Toronto on a get away night.
In all seriousness, are you really saying you believe our division will be decided by the beginning of September?
Well, if both teams keep playing like they’ve been playing since the D-backs came back down to earth, yes. I wouldn’t be at all surprised to see whoever is ahead after the second series take the division. Both teams have a fairly easy schedule after that
He must have a taste for Molson.
Yeah. Great pickup by the Dodgers… :smack:
Cubs.
IS C.C. Sabathia one of the greatest midseason pickups in the history of baseball, or what?
Man, did the Brewers ever score big time on this one. I’m not a huge fan of big midseason trades; teams tend to give away too much and overestimate the benefit of what they’re getting. But in this case the Brewers were probably right to take the chance at this particular time, and boy, has it paid off.
If anyone stayed up for tonight’s ESPN game, it was certainly pretty incredible. Granted, as a Phillies fan, I’m very biased, but this game had a ton of drama and really interesting twists: a guy I’d never even heard of and who hasn’t had an MLB at bat since 2004 gets a four pitch walk; Chad Durbin escapes a bases loaded, no out jam by getting a 5-2 double play; Cole Hamels, our ace, pinch hits. Really, a great, great game.
That being said, the Phillies still have this inexplicable hitting problem. Jimmy Rollins is 4 for his last 46 or something since he called us “front runners.” Ryan Howard can’t do anything. It’s nice getting some revenge on the Dodgers for their four game sweep of us last week, but I don’t think it’s possible for the Phillies to overtake the Mets (even though we’re only .5 out at the moment) unless we can have someone besides Shane Victorino (and, tonight, Pedro Feliz) show some competence with the stick.
When does Maddux get to lose again for the Dodgers?
Hopefully against the D-backs!
And Harden for the Cubs. Christ, is that working out well right now. I mean look at these numbers:
CUBS
Rich Harden
4-1 1.47 ERA 70 SO (Dude should have 5 wins, except the bullpen blew his first game by giving up 5 runs in the ninth)
Chad Gaudin
4-1 4.98 ERA 24 SO
vs.
ATHLETICS
Sean Gallagher
1-2 6.55 ERA 33 SO
Matt Murton
.100 AVG 0 HR 2 RBI
Eric Patterson
.162 AVG 0 HR 3 RBI
Josh Donaldson
