Just caught a few scenes from this movie (which I’ve seen before but didn’t really pay close attention). After Ernie Hudson’s character saves the Jim (Leo DiCaprio), at one point Jim is crying and says “Just give me the money, I’m not going to suck your dick!” Hudson gets really mad- but, wait, he did seem to be in the middle of taking off his pants! A coincidence? Did I miss something? Perhaps someone who’s read the book can enlighten me.
its been a long time since ive seen the movie but rememeber the gym teacher was a pervert?
That was the only movie I can think of that had absolutely no comic relief.
He was hustling for drug money.
Who was hustling?
Yeah, I know Leo’s character did, but in this particular scene Ernie Hudson has saved him from freezing to death in the cold, and wants to get the kid off of smack. He seems truly offended that Leo thinks the man wants a blow job… but he did seem to be undoing his belt.
The narrator is hustling.
Have only watched the movie on cable, barely paying attention, so not sure how true it is.
Would guess it’s less raw.
