Batman: Arkham Knight

The PC version may not be fixed until September.

Well it’s certainly not possible with Arkham Knight, apparently.

I’m at 98.5% total completion. (Those damn Riddler trophies)

Anyone play the Batgirl DLC yet? From what I’ve heard, it isn’t great.

I’ve watched someone else play through it and the impression I got was that it was short and shallow rather than being bad per se. The content it has looked good, there just wasn’t much of it. It’s like two very short missions and two sets of three very short sidequests.

I liked that Batgirl is forced to use distractions to set people up for Fear Takedowns rather than relying on nothing more than her own presence, but the DLC needed to give her a level up system like Batman’s and give her a lot more game and story to play through to really be worth it.

Well, here we are half way through October and still no PC release. The game is back on Steam saying it will be available in Fall of 2015.

Anyone else have other news on the game? It seems the consoles have gotten some nice DLC.

Also, did this kill the studio that did the ‘PC port’?

(WARNING: Spoiler tags hide real spoilers, do not read if you haven’t played  )

Last word was end of October early September for a re-release.

It better re-release on a 30% sale though.

The last patch actually made the game very playable for me, but I’ve got a beefy rig. Mostly 60 FPS at 1440p, so I “finished” it:

I’ll be damned if I’m going to go round hunting those damn trophies around to see the “Real” ending.

So far the DLC has been panned, so I may not be coming back to this game again in a long while. I enjoyed the game a lot, though some of the vehicle sections (well, maybe most of the vehicle sections), were just utterly frustrating. Loved the way the Joker was brought back. And Batman outside the animated series and the (boring to me) recent films, doesn’t exist, so the twist of the Arkham Knight was surprising and enjoyable.

Breaking news: looks like WB has given up altogether on the PC port.

I wonder if they’re going to get a rush of people buying it to see if it runs on their rig, and if it does, playing it through then returning it on Dec 31.

I saw Arkham Knight for 66% off and I figured it might be properly patched up 2 years later. I have a GTX 970 yet in the graphics options Gameworks section, the interactive fog/smoke and paper debris options are greyed out as disabled. Did Nvidia or the developer just give up on making it work? Is there something I’m missing?
The game seems to only have SMAA as anti-aliasing. How does it compare to others? Are there some AA options I’m missing?

Sounds like you don’t have PhysX enabled on your GPU. Those sound like typical PhysX features.

That worked, thanks. Although I’m now at 3575MB of VRAM and I don’t know if I’m just over the limit of the 3.5GB VRAM and dipping into the additional 0.5GB which would really slow things down (although no problem so far).
