Inevitably? While that would be in character for pretty much every member of Batman’s rogues gallery (and Austin Powers’ too), I don’t remember Hannibal being too much prone to it. I guess it might be a factor of whether Hannibal was in Batman’s world or vice versa.
COvered that in my first post in this thread. I think, overall, there is no way for Lecter to beat the Bat. Batman has faced his share of evil geniuses and outright madmen. He’s faced threats physical, spiritual, and mental. I think Lecter is smart enough to know that he can’t “beat” Batman in a conventional sense.
That’s why I like my ending. It gives Lecter a victory of sorts and clears him out of the comic. Batman wins the battle but loses the war. Both characters get their story due.
All Batman would have to do is ask Hannibal’s opinion of Peitro Aquila’s later work and the wheels are in motion.
Of course, saying “Peitro” instead of “Pietro” should be enough to get the ball rolling.
Then the question comes down to this: will Hannibal’s monologing present a bigger obstacle to victory than Batman’s cape?
On the contrary, my dear. It is only I who truly loves the Bat. For it is only I who acknowledges his dual nature as both Bat and (fallible) Man.
While I acknowledge I put him on a pedestal sometimes, it takes a woman to understand the Man behind the Bat.
Are we gonna fight over this? ROWR!
If you’re gonna do so, would you do us the honor of changing into this bikini, and stepping into this pool of hot oil?
Exactly, and Bravo.
Okay, if it will make you happy. I won’t need the top half of that bikini, though.
Sixteen minutes from the OP - not bad. Though if I hadn’t been out of town, I’d have made it a close race!
