Getting snipped doesn’t seem to affect your ability to enjoy sex.

Circumcision does not reduce sexual satisfaction and so there should be no reservations about using this method as a way to combat HIV, a study says.

Nearly 5,000 Ugandan men were recruited for the study. Half were circumcised, half had yet to undergo surgery.

There was little difference between the two groups when they were asked to rate performance and satisfaction, the journal BJU International reports.

Some studies suggest circumcision can cut male HIV infection by up to 50%.

Not that I expect this to change anyone’s minds on the matter, but it’s an interesting tidbit.

I don’t think this is new. I mean, the study is, but there’ve been studies saying essentially this for ages. Likewise studies saying otherwise. Hate to say it, but if we had a vaccination that provided 50% immunity, we’d be talking Nobel prize here. I think it’s pretty clear where this leaves circumcision as an AIDS prevention technique.
