Battlefield Band. anyone seen them?

I got a card in the mail about an upcoming performance in Pittsburgh by the Battlefield Band. So I ordered tickets based on the picture on the mailing.:smiley:

It will be a surprise for my gf. She blew me away me a few years ago by taking me to see Cesária Évora, who I had never heard of and who I now list as one of my favorite vocalists.

So, has anyone here seen The Battlefield Band perform? They play both traditional Scottish/Celtic music as well as their own songs, from what I’ve read. Is my gf gonna be pleased? Bagpipes?

I saw them in 1990 (I think) in Cheltenham Town Hall in Cheltenham in England. I thought they were pretty good.

I saw them in 1981 at the Eagle Tavern in NYC.

Does that count?

If so, in my opinion they were just wonderful.

Haven’t seen them, but I have a couple of their CDs. If she likes Celtic music at all, she’ll dig 'em.

If she doesn’t like Celtic music, ewwwboy.

If she’s not sure, she soon will be :wink:

We both love quality music, regardless of genre. This should be fun.
