Murder is easier than love.
I’m not saying it’s a bad thing. If all the meatbags get, er, “toasted” before they have little meatbags it would be a Good Thing.
Can we call the kids meatballs? Cause that tickles my funny bone.
Meatballs would be something Cavil or Leoben would have, but nox a Six or Boomer.
I second the motion, and call for a voice vote. All in favor?
I submit Easy Bake ™Ovens instead.
I know I’m a little late with this and we’ve moved on to arguing about the next episode, but here’s the thing: the Heavy Raiders doing the towing were depicted as cruising along at low acceleration towards the hub, then boosting up to high acceleration for a bit before ejecting the cables and veering away to go fight. You can tell this by the size of the engine flames, as seen from the perspective of Hardball while she stares at the ass of her Heavy Raider and curses at it.
What was the point? The Cylons don’t have RADAR? What did the vipers do with the cable hanging off them? Why not accelerated the Vipers, point 'em at the hub and shut down their engines? Maybe they some sort of Trek like impulse engine that while not FTL violates Newtonian motion.
Maybe because their RADAR isn’t magical, and as such can’t see THROUGH a Raider to what’s on the other side? Again, obvious stuff, straight out of the episode.
If you’re going to nitpick, try to to be so bad at it.

Say what?
The Vipers were powered down until the last minute so as not to give off an energy signature that the enemy Cylons could pick up. Perhaps there was also some sort of jamming going on, or their radar sucks at detecting cold objects, or they were too busy tracking hot targets once the attack started to notice the cold Vipers - I’ll allow that it’s a bit iffy in that respect. At any rate, a cold Viper isn’t going to get anywhere by itself, hence the tow. There is no violation of Newtonian mechanics here.
If you’re going to fanwank, try to know what you’re talking about.
The Colonials use DRADIS, not RADAR. It does the same thing as radar, except when it doesn’t for plot purposes. From what we have seen, dradis does not have sufficient resolution to distinguish between “Heavy Raider” and “Heavy Raider towing Viper deadweight.”
And as they said on the episode, the Vipers were powered down because the Basestars and Hub would have detected the signature of the Colonial electronics. Apparently the Vipers’ electronics systems are therefore necessary for them to use their thrusters.
And the reason for pairing them up with the Heavy Raiders was that the Hub and its attendant Basestars would permit the approach of Cylon vessels, where they would have started firing or jumped away at the approach of Colonial vessels.
You know, Vipers can stick to stuff. We’ve seen them do it for instance when they raided the tillium refinery, and Starbuck had one stuck to her ship recently.
Maybe they should have had the Vipers just stick to the bottom of the Heavy Raiders. Might look a little silly, but the tow cables didn’t look much more dignified.
