Lovely bedside manner Nurse Ishay; “Oh don’t bother love, your husband’s braindead”. Cavil was the first child of his creator(s) then proceeded to rebel against them. Does that remind anybody of anything .
WTF is this shit, bad acting and clunky retcon night? Did I stumble into an episode of Lost? This is the first BSG episode that I officially hate. Listening to the Cylons bickering was like a bad Blade Runner episode.
Well, frack me. There actually was a Plan. And it was all John’s. And it was the most pathetically… human… of anything. Damn.
This episode was like watching favorite fan theories go up in smoke, one right after another.
Separate Resurrection Hub: Boom!
There was no Model Seven: Boom!
Starbuck is a Cylon model: Boom!
Just realized, this all made New Caprica even more of a Greek tragedy: John tore out his father’s eye and had sex with his mother. Ick.
At least Boomer redeemed herself, finally.
I dunno, I kind of enjoyed the Ellen/John Snarkfest, but the “Boomer Sneaks Ellen away from the Cavilcade” angle was incredibly bloody predictable
Should be fun when Ellen makes it back to The Bucket, and Tigh has to choose between Ellen and Six…
No wonder the name of the episode was “No Exit.” Asides from all the existentialist philosophizing throughout the series, the scenes with Boomer, Cavil and Ellen were basically a re-telling of the Sartre play (though with a different ending!)
The Sartre-fan in me was pleased. It’s true, though, that there was a lot of talking in this episode, and not much action. I don’t think that’s a bad thing every once in a while, though.
You mean between his wife and his daughter (who’s carrying his grandchild)? It’s not really incest since the numbered models aren’t the biological children of the Final Five, only their spiritual children.
It surprised me. Must be the PC/Mac thing…

I’m thinking that rebooted Ellen will not be at all upset that Six is carrying Saul’s child. She accepted why Saul had killed her, and she seems to genuinely care for the skinjobs as her children. She’ll probably be fairly happy about it.
Caprica, of course, we know is capable of sharing her man with someone else. She won’t be put out by things… in fact, she’ll probably be somewhat in awe of Ellen as her “creator”.
Tigh, of course, is going to be torn up in knots by the whole mess. That’s what he does best, really.
Well, that was a fun little infodump.
Something like that worked for Lazurus Long.
So all of Cavil’s moral indignation over the rebel Cylon’s looking for the final five was pure hypocrisy? Yeah, sounds about right for him.
Explain to me…no, there is no time.
Please Sum Up.
Where did Boomer get the raptor and how does she know the location of Galactica?
Hey! If the end of Kobol happened 3000 years ago, and the nuking of Earth happened 2000 years ago… that can’t have been our Earth, can it?
Looks like that’s another dead fan theory. Wonder if the “Kobol was settled by (post)humans from Earth” fan theory will be killed before the series ends?
We know the Cylons have lots of Colonial equipment available. The Raptor is probably from that stuff.
Boomer finding Galactica presumably happens next episode, since that occurred in the preview, and so is rather spoilery. And, probably, inaccurate, knowing BSG previews.
… although probably, Ellen can lead Boomer back to Earth, and just ask D’Anna how to find the rebel Basestar.
It’s in the show, but for those who haven’t seen it yet:
He’s Model#7, and apparently was one of Ellen’s favorites. He was supposedly something “special,” being very spiritual and artistic.
Cavil seriously frakked him over “in vitro” (tube, whatever) permanently damaging him genetically and making him a non-viable model, and he’s permanently boxed.
Did anyone else get the whole “Cane slew Abel” parallel from that?
I’m guessing that he’s also (somehow) Kara Thrace’s father, making her a hybrid.
I liked the segue between Boomer saying, “Who would we love???” to… the Chief. They will be together again next episode. That should be interesting.
Chief and Tory were in love back then. Apparently these feelings don’t necessarily roll over between resurrections.
My prediction is that Daniel is in Six’s womb waiting to be (re)born right now.
On what “Colony” is all of Ellen’s resurrection equipment?
Smeghead got it in one.
When are they going to blow some more stuff up?
I tend to think, considering how much backstory they have to fill us in on, this was a pretty good way to deliver information. Reveal that Cavil was always evil and knew about Ellen and probably the final five, reveal what Ellen has been through the last 18 months, and show why Boomer voted with Cavil.
Lots of talking and exposition, but a pretty good episode of talking and exposition.
Yeah, but they didn’t blow anything up…
You know, every time Cavil/John shows up, he’s ultra-heavy on the exposition and talky mind games.
I believe some of the footage of the original Cylon War in the new intro is actually new. And included blowing up.
