Battlestar Galactica (1/21/07)

Surely I can’t be the first to post a thread on this?

New day and time, it’s a new episode, too right?

I didn’t leave work 'till 1 AM last night, and I’m here again bright and early. Yeah, I could’ve switched shifts with someone else and worked tonight, but damnit, I wanted to see the new Dresden Files, and it’s been several months since I’ve seen BSG.

I’ll leave the spoiler disclaimers for someone else, I’m just sleep deprived and excited, so I wanted to spill it here. Plus, hopefully I’ll be reminding someone else that new Sci-fi goodness is on tonight (Dresden files at 9/8C, BSG at 10/9C)

Myself, I usually have to see the episode before I have something to say.

Thanks for the reminder–I forgot about the new night! I still have the last episode DVR’d, so I think I’ll rewatch it this afternoon in preparation.

New night, and Tivo won’t catch it because Time-Warner is in the middle of a channel shuffle, and things are all screwed up. Gonna have to make sure I hit the “Record” button personally.

My Tivo’s right on top of things. I’m ready to go for both BSG and Dresden Files.

Kinda think it’s a bad night to return with first run episodes. Both the NFC and AFC Championship games are on today, and that’s a lot of TV to watch. The AFC game should be over by the time BSG kicks off (yes, got football on the brain. GEAUX SAINTS!), but next week is an off week, with less competition. Also wondering if BSG will bother wasting a first run episode on Superbowl Sunday in a couple weeks…

BSG is pretty decent counter programming to football.

I like both as well, but I would think that many of the regular BSG viewers couldn’t care less.

Glad I saw this thread. I checked my DVR to see if BSG was going to record and it is, but I forgot about Dresden files. I really want to see that.

Are there still football games on?

I thought they already played the Stupid Bowl, couldn’t care less about stupid football

Wow.

Well, there’s plenty more where she came from…

Ah, she’ll be reincarnated on the base star.

Agreed, my immediate reaction was a “what the frak!..oh yeah, the downloading thing…”

Of course the most immediate question about G-Sharon on the BaseStar is;

is she planning to defect back to the Toaster side, or is she telling Six what she wants to hear…

Cool, when the frak did we get an “Edit” button?..

GRAAAAHH!!! MACTECH HATE SCREAMING BRATS! SHUT THE FRAK UP, POP TART!!!

thank Og for Mute and Closed Captioning…

I have never kept track of the Sharons.
Which is the mother and which threatened the child?
I.E., who shot adama and who blew up the water tanks?

The Eye of Jupiter is a frakking supernova!

I guess we should have expected that despite the misdirection.
“I’ve deciphered the glyphs…something about an explosion…let’s blow it up.”

the Sharon on the BaseStar (white clothing, unsympathetic towards the Pop-Tart) is Sharon Rev. A, a.k.a “Boomer” or “Galactica-Boomer”, the one that blew up the water tanks and shot Adama

Sharon Agathon (Athena) was down on Caprica post-attack with Helo, has aided the Colonials and is now a serving officer on Galactica

Well, an excellent episode, I thought. But the ending was incredibly rushed - they should’ve edited it a bit better, or cut out some of the fighting between the Cylons and Lee’s group on the surface to free up some time.

I really hope that Ron Moore knows where he’s going with all this crap, though.

Well, now I’m thinking that they’re setting up Starbuck to be the promised prophet who’ll lead them to the promised land of Earth (rather than Laura). Meaning that she won’t be reaching that promised land, herself, of course.

Adama is probably the Cylon that D’Anna saw.

Really not liking the new day and time. Some of us have to get up early to work on Mondays, Sciffy.
