we had reason to believe it wouldn’t happen because Natalie convinced Leoben to call it off.
As Tonto said to the Lone Ranger while under Indian Attack, “What you mean we White Man?”
Leoben could be doing a treble cross.
The deal is, this is the last Battlestar, the last humans. The Cylons have occupied the Colony worlds and will continue to exist with out regard to the humans and pursuing Cylons. ANY choice to trust the Cylons has two possibilites:
(1) They are lying, humans will die.
(2) They are telling the truth, things may or may not work out.
Given that this is the last chance for the Human race, I say, screw the Cylons whenever possible. Wish Adama could nuke them from orbit.

So my question is, the jumping of the basestar…That was an accident, right? That hybrid couldn’t have been doing things whilst not plugged in, right? Nobody caught any other plans, did they?
I think the Hybrids are fairly prescient, so it could have foreseen everything before it got unplugged.

It’s like resetting my Palm Pilot, or selecting “R” Repair Windows XP Installation.
The reset Palm asks my name and the date, the reset Hybrid jumps to a preselected point just as the fleet may jump to an emergency jump point.
I seriously watched half this episode standing up, pacing back and forth in front of the screen, dancing around like I had to pee.
Now I get to tease all my friends who don’t get SciFi and haven’t seen it yet and who have to wait until I invite them over to watch it.
This is what we’ve waited all season for. The dominoes are beginning to fall.
And yeah, that was Romo Lampkin. What the FRAK.

levdrakon, re: the preview, hell yeah it would be weird, but…
maybe the Final Five are different and can get another Cylon pregnant? Who the hell knows anymore? If it’s not that she’s pregnant, you have to wonder, how else would Cottle find out about the sex? Would he be doing random gynecological exams on Caprica? That’s a creepy thought in itself.
Actually, it makes a lot of sense
Remember, the Six on Pegasus suffered some really nasty stuff, and even Adama was horrified by it. I wouldn’t be surprised if he’d promised himself that that shit would never, ever go down on his ship - and implementing regular exams might be his way of ensuring none of the guards are abusing Caprica Six.
I think the Fleet’s doublecross is that they will not turn over the final five to the Cylons or let them go after they receive the unboxed 3. I think Roslin is pissed because yet another method of finding Earth is overruling her scriptural vision stuff. What is her idea for finding Earth anyway?
Liked that Kara and Prez are getting together on the vision train.
Liked when Tigh made the point that the Centurians hadn’t ceased firing in any other battles, so why start now if the 5 had always been with the Fleet.
Boy was Tyrol really out of it or what? With his shaved head and disconnection/lack of eye contact he almost looks like a mental patient.
Is it just me or did we see a general lack of interest/concern from crew members regarding Athena losing Hera except for fellow Cylon Tyrol?
Did anybody take down the lyrics from Felix’s song? As in, are there any clues there? Poor guy - Cottle promised him not to take his leg off, and the first instrument he reaches for is the bone saw. Why the hell did Cottle even bother?
Did Athena see Baltar in the Opera House vision too, or was that just Roslin on drugs again?
I have a suspicion the raid on the Resurrection Pod is not going to go all that well …

I wonder how long it’ll be before someone thinks about what Tigh said, and thinks “Ok… what was different that time… Anders’ weird little stunt with that raider.”

I don’t remember Cottle promising that he wouldn’t take off the leg. The bone saw was already out when they were prepping Gaeta to go under; it was obviously an amputation from the get-go.
He told Gaeta he wouldn’t have to wake up to having his leg gone – i.e., he’d be awake while it was taken off. Surely he wouldn’t have blithly laid there when the first thing Cottle did was start in with the bone saw if Felix thought the leg might’ve been saved.

Anders was the only one who knew what happened, though. He told the other three final Cylons, but as far as the other pilots know he was about to get shot (as were they all) when the Raiders suddenly up and left.
Roslin is soooo the final Cylon.
Based on what? There’s a good case for either her, Baltar or Thrace. (And if one of the three is a Cylon, it’ll still take some serious explainin’ to account for all the weirdness involving the other two.)
Okay, courtesy of OnDemand and closed captioning, here’s “The Amputee Song” from Felix Gaeta’s debut CD:*
Alone she sleeps in the shirt of man
With my three wishes clutched in her hand.
The first that she be spared the pain
That comes from a dark and laughing reign * (CC spelled it reign, not rain)*
When she fiinds love, may it always stay true
This I beg for the second wish I made too.
But wish no more, my life you can take,
To have her please, just one day, wake.*
The suggestive last line is repeated right before the credits. IOW the missing Cylon is female. Roslin and Starbuck are too obvious, so I’ll go with Dualla. Or maybe Racetrack.
I was wrong about Cottle, sorry - Felix only asked “not to wake up with my leg gone”.
If you’re keeping score, the human contingent on the basestar is Roslin, Baltar, Helo, half the Viper wing, and a half-dozen Raptors, all with crews and armed for the Pod mission. No telling who’s the HCIC (Head Cylon In Charge) with Natalie down.

I thought the “she” that they wanted to “wake” was D’Anna, not the Final Cylon, since this whole mission to the Resurrection Hub is for the purposes of unboxing her and getting her to tell who the Final Five are. Of course, I could be wrong.
I like the theory that it’s Lampkin. I can’t believe we’re going to have to wait until 2009 to find out, probably.
Speaking of the Opera House, last season we were led to believe that the Final Five were a threat to Hera. She’s now in their hands, Tyrol took her and Sharon believes her to be safe, but where did Tyrol take her?
