For non-foodies wondering why this should be important, the San Francisco farmers’ market has always been famous, and justly so, because it’s a wonderful place to find the products of our numerous local food artisans. Spectacular and unusual produce of every kind is also sold there. Recently, the FM has moved from its location in a parking lot to San Francisco’s historic old Ferry Building, and the vendors will have permanent stalls and will be able to expand their businesses.
I can’t wait! Zenster, if you open this thread, Mr. Pug and I will be at the Hog Island Oyster stall at probably 9:30 - 10:00 a.m., bottle of Pouilly-Fuisse in hand (breakfast of champions).
