BB&T refuses eminent domain loans. I think I love them.

I just might change banks.

Good. The tiny bit of business they might lose commercially should be made up by grateful personal accounts.

Off to see if there’s a branch near me…

Whether they’re doing it out of concern for the rights of private landowners or out of fear of unforseen complications, it’s amazing to see a bank of all things take a position more in line with the public’s welfare than our own judicial system.

Alas, no branch near me. I e-mailed my bank, told them what BB&T did, and if they will implement a similar policy. I thought it was the next best thing.

Not to be obnoxious, but I see this as purely a marketing ploy. BB&T knows the chances of even being in a position to make a loan for such a project are practically nil.

I think you would be surprised.

I used to be a BB&T customer before I moved away from their area. Now that they have crept back towards me, I may consider re-upping and opening an account.
