If that’s what you wanted.
Well I really wanted the lyrics to Hot Rod Lincoln which IMHO could blow Little Deuce Coupe off the road. … but you weren’t talking to me anyway…
Probably the Little Deuce Coupe was a streetlight racer, and would easily beat the Hot Rod Lincoln from a standing start for a number of blocks. But the Lincoln, with overdrive, would have a higher top speed and would be the winner in a longer race.
To get the lyrics, go to www.google.com and enter a line of the song in quotation marks. The quotation marks limit the results to entries that have those exact words in that exact order, instead of bringing up 40 kajillion sites including any that have even one of the words you entered. Try “it’s got a Lincoln motor and it’s really souped up”.
Commander Cody wound the Lincoln up to 110 and his speedometer said he’d hit top end, his foot was glued like lead to the floor, that’s all there was and there ain’t no more.
The little duece can do 140 while floored.
Mr. Cody might ditch the model A body for something more aerodynamic and ditch the 4.11 gears for more top end, but his daddy’s drinkin’ will suffer.
Yeah, it doesn’t sound so good for the Lincoln, which pre-dated the Coupe by a number of years. But there is hope–on a site with the original lyrics ("The song as written by Charlie Ryan & W.S. Stevenson "), the verse is:
Well I wound it up to a hundred and ten,
twisted the speedometer cable off the end. I
had my foot keyed clear to the floor, said
“that’s all there is, there ain’t no more.”
…with the implication that it exceeded 110 mph. Whether it might have exceeded it by 30+ mph, we may never know.
