That’s swampy’s job!
Speaking about having a whole week together will do that.
:dubious:
And you guys leave Rosie’s hair alone!
It is perfectly cute as it is.

[Mad Scientist]It’s alive! Alive!!![Mad Scientist]
Glad RT’s home.
rosie, if we had a Scottish Mumper, he or she could kilt the MMP.
[sub][sub]I’ll be here all week. Try the veal[/sub][/sub]
Bedtime. Night ,y’all!
Home from irk, DH is making cheeseburgers. He’s not much of a cook, but can cope with the Foreman grill. (I’m not even going to ask about all the cursing coming from the kitchen.)
Juggling laundry, dealing with Princess silliness.
Sari, I got $100 towards your down payment if you’re willing to move to a certain house that’s for sale in Jawja, & buy one of these for your yard! :
(Confidential to Cap’n: remaining R&D budget is now being converted to Ruffles & Drinks.)
I overslept to start off my 21 hr day. Alarm set to go off in < 2½ hrs. - g’nite
Up, caffeinated, off to work. Happy Sunday.
I can’t believe that I woke up without benefit of dog - at FIVE AY EM!! Puppy was being quiet and despite my best efforts, I couldn’t fall back to sleep. I gave up after half an hour or so. Higgs has been fed, I had the last of the malformed cheese straws for breakfast, and now I’m caffeinating.
We’ll leave around 11:30, gas up the car, and go to my sister’s house for a cookout/b-day party for the other sister’s son. (I don’t much like the boy, but I feel obligated to occasionally attend these events.) She lives her closest to us, and it’s still a 90-ish minute drive - she’s near BWI airport. We’ll make it a relatively short stay - gotta come home to feed the critters, you know!
**doggio **- if Higgs was an older dog, we might have been OK leaving her home alone for 12 hours. But she’s still mostly puppy, mostly getting into stuff, and mostly not to be trusted that long. We don’t really know any of our neighbors well enough to impose on them to deal with the dog, so the kennel was the best choice.
It’s 60° in the back yard this morning! I opened the house before going to bed, and it’s gloriously cool in here right now. Later this week, we’ll see 90s, but for now, it’s loverly!
Happy Sunday!!
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. YAWN 'Tis 73 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 95 for the day. 'Tis Summer!
StickyBuns yay for RT bein’ home for the week! Y’all have fun!
Spidey bein’ as the yahd next door is not a lake, how exactly would sari be able to use that thing?
Today I get to be Lector at the Whiskypalian deheathenization service. Also since it’s fifth Sunday, we have fifth Sunday breakfast between services. Don’t think we’re doin’ that however. I didn’t make anything and don’t really want to go to the sto’ to buy anything to bring. I should though just to be nice, I reckon.
Now I need more caffiene and should consider what to feed rumbly tummy. Purtification for deheathenization must also commence at some point.
Happy Sunday Y’all!
Well, aren’t we quiet this morning? I’m killing time till we have to leave. It’s a nice lazy day here.
blurf
I’m melting in the heat. I hope my chocolate bars haven’t melted into non-existence, or at least non-usefulness, though I do like them slightly melted.
I need to do some cleaning and take a shower.
unwrap all the chocolate, put them all in a bowl. When they melt, you can have chocolate soup.
In about an hour, my son will board his first flight ever, for the first leg of his trip to Paris, France. He’s already found out his arrival into Paris will be delayed by over an hour. This means he’ll be late to his required orientation, but there’s nothing he can do about that.
It was bittersweet seeing him go. I’m happy for him, but will miss him terribly and the distance is what makes it harder for me. However, he’s going to have quite an adventure.
We parked at the airport and took him to the departures counter and stood back while he did his thing at the check in kiosk. He was obviously a little nervous about his flight because he tried to walk away with the bag he was checking, but the nice counter person stopped him.
This cold is killin’ me. I didn’t sleep much at all and my chest and throat are very, very sore. My nose is too. I went through a whole box of Kleenex yesterday. I do not have time to be sick, damn it.
I was having a lovely day… Then just went to nip out in the car, and it won’t go in gear. It’s been a little grindy for the last few days, on and off, but now I can’t even get into first.
I’ve just spent half an hour trying to diagnose the problem, and it looks like the repair will probably cost more than the car’s worth.
I’ve just spent a little more than I could really afford booking this trip to Ireland, and now I have no car, so even if I get any more work this week (and I’m having very little), I probably won’t be able to get to it.
I think this is what is known as a major spanner in the works.
I really want to get drunk now, but I can’t afford it.
Happy Sunday!
It looks to be hot outside but it was nice and cool last night.
Nothing to do today but irk, and I need the irk. This next paycheck looks to be sucky. It’s enough to live on so I wont go broke but I’m trying to keep the income up to impress the mortgage company.
Last night was relaxing, my freind entertained in her jammies and I wore my raggety clothes because we both felt lazy. We had a nice steak and corn on the cob for dinner.
**Spidey **that thing looks dangerous, I’ll let you install if but I’m not using it.
{{{Taters}}} and {{{Nuts}}}
Howdy Y’all! I have deheathenated, had N.O.L. and scraped a layer of filth off da cave. Ok, I cleaned the kitchen and bathrooms and have dusted and vacuumed the rest of da cave. I’ll give it another lick or two durin’ the week. The goal is to be presentable for Firday’s Fourth of July goin’s on.
{{{Taters}}} feel better soonest. Taterson is off on the adventure of his life and I’m sure he’ll have a great time!
{{{Nuts}}} vehicle woes suck. Hope everything works out for ya transportation and irk wise soonest.
I had a fun and productive day playing with radios and stuff yesterday. I got to talk to some guy in Canadia for a bit, which was pretty exciting. Unfortunately, playing with radios and stuff all day and night makes for a very tired, cranky, slightly sunburned Robin. I’m now at the outlaws’, where I’m being forced to listen to childbirth stories. I’m now indoors, hiding.
Tell us about playing with radios.
Dad was an amateur radio operator, W5VRM.
Da cave is now fit to receive company. I knew y’all were worried.
Also, sounds like a storm may be headed this way. I hope.
Back from my sister’s cookout. Turns out we could have skipped it and not been missed. I thought it was a family thing, but most of the guests were friends of theirs from their polka groups. BIL didn’t cook nearly enough burgers, so we didn’t get anything to eat except some sides. And almost none of my cheese straws were eaten. Screw 'em - I brought 'em home!
So now, chillage will ensue before bedtime. Thus endeth the weekend!
