The opening chord/fingerpicking thing (it is prevalent throughout the song, with a few chord changes here and there) to ‘Julia’ struck a chord (pardon the pun) in my head. It sounds just like a song I heard a while ago, but I can’t figure out what song it is! If someone could help me, I’d appreciate it!
It’s a picking style called Travis-picking. It could be reminding you of “Dear Prudence”; that’s picked in the same style.
I think it sounds a little like Dust in the Wind, although Julia is a bit slower.
