Name This Beatles or McCartney Song

I barely only know the first few lines, but I think it’ll be enough for Beatles and McCartney fans. It may even be from a newer Beatles song, such as the last few (posthumous) releases of the group in the mid 1990’s. Here goes:

Sitting on a doorstep
blah ble blah bi blah bi blah
I can see (half-rest) you there…

Any takers?
Help! I need somebody!

…All the clueless OPosters where do we all come from?

That’s Julian Lennon, I think it was called “Valotte”.

Yep. Julian admits that album was crafted to sound John-like.

A-ha! That’s why I couldn’t place it! And, I apologize to the McCartney fans for thinking it sounded like Paul. I’m not good at telling them apart by sound alone…unless I had the benefit of hindsight! Also, I apologize to the Lennon fans for NOT thinking it just might be Lennon, or a son… - Jinx

I thought it WAS John when I first heard it. Very creepy.

Indeed, still, to this day, it makes me sad that Julian Lennon and Paul McCartney don’t record together on occasion.

My thinking is this - regardless of whether it would be improper or not - there’s no denying that the “timbre” of Paul’s and John’ voices merged together amazingly well - in the same way that the “timbre” of the Wilson brothers and their cousins ALSO blended together well.

It would just be lovely, assuming Julian was up for it, to lend his distinctive “timbre”, which is eerily like his father’s, to Paul’s voice once again.

I loved his first cd. A lot.

His voice, though like his father’s, had a distinction of it’s own.
