Beautiful-The Carole King musical is excellent!

So, I grabbed a half price ticket to Beautiful for a matinee last Saturday. I’m not all that familiar with Carole King, a lot of those 70s singer/songwriters kinda blur together to me.

I wasn’t expecting much, but I was blown out of my seat by this excellent musical. This isn’t just a performance of Goffin/King and Carole King’s music, it is an actual story of Carole King’s life. If you just listen to the cast recording, you won’t understand how great this musical actually is.

Highly recommended and I suggest you see it if it comes to your city or you’re in London.

I saw it last year here in Schenectady. Pretty good, though I was more interested in Cythia Weil as a character.
