Beaver?

The question is always easy when it asks for something that looks like a beaver. It always ends up a woodchuck in these threads.

Nutria seems kinda smallish.

Aside: nutria sounds like a cereal brand or a health-energy bar!

I expected at least one response like this;

Isn’t ground hog the main ingredient in most sausages?

It’s:

How much ground round could a hound dog hog if a hound dog hogged ground round?

Last nutria I saw was about 24 inches, not counting the rattail. And I aways think of a vitamin supplement. :slight_smile:

Probably not a hoary marmot, but hoary marmots are cool anyway.

How can you tell if the marmots are hoary or not? Can the same rules of thumb be applied to the beaver?

Now sing us a verse of “Deck Us All with Boston Charlie”.

Land-beaver? Wow.

This topic was not what I expected from the subject line

puts pants back on

You would see if they attract the attention of a horehound.

Would beaver also be called water-marmots? Or do I have air-rats in my belfry?

“Ward, don’t you think you were a little rough on the Beaver last night?”

“I didn’t think it would mind, it’s a bit Hoary”.
