Let’s just hope he doesn’t consult the younger crowd who are fans Alanis Morrissette’s earlier songs for that definition.
Shakes fist at Finn
Well, naturally. I’ve been here for what, seven or so years now? I’ve seen that more times than I can count. But this:
is just getting too blatant for me to swallow.
I was also mentioning that because he implied that Xt also did not know the difference. Of course he does. How dishonest would someone have to be to suggest he does not? But there is no shortage of dishonesty in this fun thread.
Now back to the lying .
In what way? It’s one of the more coherent and correct statements you’ll see. He’s asserting that he knows the difference between “to” and “too,” just that he mistypes and doesn’t proofread for correctness. Given his comma usage, I’d be quite surprised if he proofreads what he types at all, most of the time. :dubious:
I did no such thing. I simply made an observation that both your posts mixed up the two words. I never stated the individual, probably disparate and widely divergent, reasons for the mixups.
Once again, based on the bolded portion, the irony, it burns.
I guess it’s just the sheer irony of gonzo attempting to defend his typing and punctuation skills after this and other threads. There’s just no way he can’t realize how ridiculous that sounds.
If lack of self-awareness were sufficient for “irony,” most of us would be pretty consistently ironic.
singing It’s like the difference between to/too/two in a seven page thread… it’s the good advice that you don’t under-stand…
I note in passing that his misuse of commas has gotten worse also…after this was pointed out. I’m still torn as I was at the very beginning of this thread…is he really this stupid or is he playing us all? Or is he stupid AND playing us all? It’s really hard to say.
I think a more fair assessment would be that I don’t CARE what the difference is between to and too (two never really came into the discussion…that was your own assertion). Certainly if I wanted to be precise I could use to/too correctly…but when I’m typing I generally don’t bother to proof read it except to look for the words underlined in red…and to/too generally doesn’t register. Frankly I don’t care, as I told Hentor…at a guess most posters are able to automatically translate the gist of my posts and what I was getting at. For my part it’s neither your spelling nor syntax that I have issues with…it’s the content of your posts (or lack there of) and your posting style.

No that would not be a more fair assessment. That is an XT crack with no excuse for it. Typical. When you get to be an adult ,you will see how stupid that was.
Interesting comment from someone who justified his use of ‘faggy’ on the grounds that all the cool teens* are saying it.
*Also, Ann Coulter, who, if one were in a generous mood, might be credited with the maturity of a teen.
(My emphasis)
In the immortal words of Innigo Montoya…I dinna thin’ that word means what you thin’ it means…
To paraphrase the not so immortal words of our own 'luci…the boy jus wanna rock and roll…

I was going to pit XT about being too wrong and stupid for words. But I did not because he is too stupid for words. Therefore pitting would have used words and been just as stupid as XT. Therefore he has to be insulted and chastised by the fact he is not being pitted. That is the ultimate pitting.
What?

Shodan
I totally get that, man. And, dude, have you ever, like, really looked at your hand? Whoah…
Yeah, and they call them fingers, you know, but I’ve never seen them fing.
They’re fingers in the same sense as shoulders. They don’t fing. They er. Fing and should are adjectives describing how those parts er.
What would happen if I invented the finglonger?
gonzo’s not here, man.
Sadly…he never was.
Quite.
