Beckdawrek is a bad, bad, bad Nana! (The big birthday weekend!)

Beck is a good, good, good Nana, and don’t let anybody tell you, Beck, otherwise.

You’re thinking of Bear.

Our Siamese seems to be different then the standard. She is completely silent and quite affectionate if you let her. I don’t encourage it because she is a real “kneader” with those sharp claws.

Dennis

Meeko is a ‘kneader’, I have spots on my thigh she has put tiny holes in. If I wear a certain pair of pj pants she gets to me fast. Bear only shows affection by blinkie eyes. Or he’ll come and sit close to me on the arm of my chair. Unless it’s cold. Then I have Velcro cats. I’m their personal ‘warming’ hooman.

Well, big news bump. The Junior-Wrek family is going to see kittens at the breeders house this weekend. Granddaughter is ecstatic. Son-of-a-wrek is happy-ish. DIL is decidedly un…un…something about it. I asked her did she dislike cats. She relayed that her favorite pet as a kid was a tuxedo cat. So I have high hopes this will be successful. Yay!! Baby kitties!!

You know we need pictures, right?

Yes. My first grand-kitties. I’m over the moon!

Agree with Leaffan: photos are necessary. Heck, they are mandatory.

no, see beck you did it wrong … what you were supposed to do is buy them and keep them hidden and on the day of the birthday put them in a cute basket wrapped and hand it to her in a room full of relatives

my mom did this for my step sister after my dad’s new wife said no to her getting guinea pigs

it was a response to dad and stepmom giving me a kitten she didn’t want to me to have mom never went inside she just honked the horn for me to come outside and handed me a big wrapped basket and had a card from me and my 2 brothers as she “forgot” to buy a present with us (grandma says that was intentional) she opened it with about 30 relatives on both sides of the family… stepmoms side of the family thought it was nice and adorable "isnt it ice your ex bought her a present? " my relatives knew better they knew my mom could be the nicest bitch in the world when she wanted to get back at you …

Funny thing was it was a male and female pair…lets just say by the time they sent them to their real dads they had almost a dozen… mom won that one … my stepsister didnt realize the subtext until grandma told her some things she asked about before grandma passed

Bear bit me last night. I was trying to keep him from stealing Meekos treat. And I moved his around alittle, he nipped my thumb. Didn’t break the skin. Oh!, He knew immediately he had done a bad thing. Flew up to the beam. I left his treat on his plate and Meeko stole them. Serves him right. Bad, bad, bad kitty!
I’m thinking I might recommend the Jr.-wrekkers choose a less snooty, finicky breed.
I’d hate granddaughters first cat experiences be horrible.

One or both of us need to play the lottery, because we’ve got some mad future-predicting skills.

I shoulda paid more heed to your warning, Steve.
Send me some numbers and I’ll buy a Powerball ticket.
I’ll share if I win, I promise.

Don’t hold your breath. Beck is pretty stingy with the pics.

The trip to the breeder is still on. She has kittens and some on the way but they are spoken for, apparently. I talked the Son-of-a-wrek and DIL about maybe setting their sights on a low key kitten of dubious parentage. And they like the sound of ‘cheaper’, I’ve called around to a couple of shelters in neighboring counties. Lots of cats, less kittens. But there are some. The have a 4yo dachshund. High energy and crazy. I think an older cat might find that unnerving. A kitten, not newborn, but young should suit.
Yay! Nana to the rescue!
Granddaughter had her 1st day of school today. She told me it was awful. But she got to tell the class she was getting new kitten. She said that was the only good part.

Okay, these came to me in a dream last night: 3, 17, 24, 38, 56 and pi. That last one might be there because I haven’t had breakfast yet.

Ok. Got it.

You are not sounding rational.

Yes, he does sound like the square root of -2

I was told I wouldn’t need to know math here. Or grammar. Or correct punctuation. Or geography.
