You know better than that. The REAL attention whore isn’t determined by the (second?) number of posts in one thread. I’d say it’s better determined by the number of posts one has in a few years time, claims that she’s “kinda afraid” to start a thread here, which is total bullshit- she loves both the negative and positive attention, and makes it all about her from the beginning with a thread title announcing her arrival here so her cheerleaders can fawn over her. There’s more, but you already know it. The “I’m a sickly, bored lady just trying to post here” schtick worked on a lot of people.
That would make Beckdaweck the biggest attention whore in the thread, and you the third biggest.

This is another load of BS. I haven’t done a search, but I’m fairly certain you’ve posted multiple times in ATMB complaining about some poster or another that you obviously couldn’t just stop reading.
I don’t see why you think this. If you do a quick search on the threads you’ve started. [I just did]. Go to advanced search, put in your username and use the drop down menu to threads user started. You’ll see that your bad bad bad threads get an average amount of view count. It’s the same amount of views that anyone else would get for starting any other thread, roughly between 1,500-2,000. The only threads that got much more than that is this one and the ones where you talk about your illness.
People read threads. As you say, that’s the function of message boards. Your bad bad bad threads aren’t different than any other thread in terms of view count or people participating.
I hope you’re telling the truth here. I came to the Pit to read about the riots because I was so angry about them, then I read this thread and your trivializing of the issue and was disgusted. But worse, you stunk up the Pit with the same thing you’re doing in MPSIMS.
Yeah, this is sound logic. Your evidence she is an attention whore is you claiming she’s an attention whore. You’re actually affirming the consequent, aka “begging the question.” Dopers should be smarter than those logical fallacies.
It’s interesting how, because you can’t get others to hate her, you’ve escalated from her being someone who is posts a bit too much and annoys you to someone who is faking her entire persona for attention. You actually think it’s more likely that someone would have the time to post like she does if they were faking than if she was actually a retired sick woman stuck in her house. You see her talking like a normal person not as evidence that she’s lonely and is getting her socialization on here, but as evidence of some dastardly plot for attention.
You’re reaching. You’re acting like a conspiracy theorist–taking the less likely scenario and treating it like it’s more likely. Anything she does that contradicts your theory is just proof she’s lying and bamboozling people.
Your ire is very, very much out of proportion to her actual “offense.” All she does is act like a nice person and make threads talking her life that some people find uninteresting or slightly too frequent. And, yes, slightly, she gets two or three threads at most on MPSIMS–she’s easily avoidable. She has not made 50 threads active at once, so she’s not ever taken up half the page.
The appropriate level of response is “Hey, could you please reduce the number of threads you make?” And, even then, that’s kinda overkill when you can so easily avoid them. I do it all the time. I’m not always in the mood to read it, either. But you don’t see me trying to turn her into an awful person.
People mock me for being a shut-in, but I have to wonder how people who get this angry at such utterly minor annoyances that are part of everyday conversations can function in the real world. Half the population is extroverted. How the fuck do you deal with them if you think they’re all attention whores?
You call her an attention whore, but you and those who get this angry are just fucking drama queens. You need someone to hate. You pick someone nice to get people upset at you, and so that she will be less likely to defend herself.
