How funny. When I lived in the UK, I spent a couple months in Wolverhampton on Stow Heath Lane. Wolverhampton was my first foray into the UK and it is where I first began my journey into English ales and Indian cuisine. I totally did not realize that Bass was brewed there.

Could well have been the late 80’s. Definatly in Britain though.
Yeah, not the old Guinness canned stuff (which existed before the decent enough flow can stuff) but similar to to the Nigerian mix. This stuff was 7.5%, bought at a very busy ferry bar.
Ever actually been afraid to try a beer? I was at the optometrist late yesterday afternoon, and My Beloved decided to wander the mall. When I was finished we met back up, and she told my she picked me up a beer at the Made In Oregon store. She then opened the shopping bag and showed me…this.
My plan is to drink it tonight after dinner, then report back to this thread.
My husband and I drank a bottle a couple of nights ago.

Someone gave me a novelty chilli kit for a present once. Part of the package was a bottle of Chilli Beer. A while later (during a beer crisis) I opened it, smelled it, and poured it straight down the sink.
Well, that was…interesting. Regular Rogue ale aroma, not over strong, first tasted of maple followed by pleasant bacon aftertaste. It was if I had had a glass of ale immediately following a Denny’s Grand Slam breakfast.
