Being the last poster of a thread and then it dies

Look, if I argue with you, I must take up a contrary position.

I might be killing threads in my spare time.

Oh, I’ve had enough of this.

There is so much thread in this thread I could knit a blanket.

You knit with thread? That must be quite the challenge. Do you use knitting toothpicks?

When the last poster of this thread finally posts, no one will be able to comment on that fact.

And that will be a good thing.

Indeed.

I just have to try.

Good luck with that.

No. Try not. Do… or do not. There is no try.

That’s it. For the offense of - refusal to allow this thread to die- I here by challange you to a dual! Choose your weapons and your seconds, for we meet at noon(I’m not a morning person)!

A dual what?

Yarn is thread. I don’t really knit. Occasionally I nit-pick, though.

My seconds? I will have more of the green bean casserole and a couple more tiramisus.

Nit-picking is nasty!

That means to pick lice eggs off your (or somebody’s) dirty head! :yuck:

Mic Drop

I am a clean nit-picker, I have you know.

Well, thread is a type of yarn. I wouldn’t say yarn is thread. That’s like saying birds are sparrows.

There. If that irritating pedantry doesn’t kill this thread, nothing will.

I think you may have it backwards. Yarn is a type of thread, unless you believe all threads are made of yarn. I’ve had loose threads on shirts that are certainly not made from yarn.
