Believe it or not, Joe Rogan and Russell Brand are incredibly intellectual

I consider myself to be an intellectual as well, but can hardly keep up with these two great minds.

It’s a two hour and twenty minute podcast, but IMHO it’s an incredible listen.

Please listen, and share your thoughts.

Joe Rogan has a good podcast and seems like a decent guy with an open mind, but I don’t know if I’d consider him an intellectual.

He has reformed himself quite a bit from when he was younger and he was a douche according to lots of people who knew him. But he doesn’t strike me as someone who really grasps the concepts being given to him. When he interviews scientists he seems to have serious trouble following their arguments.

I’d say he is my favorite interview podcast now. I used to like WTF with Maron, but Rogan is better.

I tend to agree with most of your points, but I think this most recent podcast from yesterday redeems him as truly intellectual. Please check it out.

I personally prefer the video version…

Rogan is an intellectual who isn’t that smart, if that makes sense. There are a lot of people who are interested in intelllectual subjects but aren’t very good at them. Much like there are people who are interested in football but aren’t good at football. And yes he’s a douche, and still a douche, but he’s a comedian, most comedians are douches. We love them anyway.

I’m a big fan of Rogan, from his standup, to Fear Factor, to MMA, to his podcast. I can relate to him, because I’m interested in all kinds of intellectual stuff but can’t really get past the surface on most subjects before my brain starts to fritz.

Now Brand, he’s like Rogan, but seems quite a bit less intelligent to me.

I really, SERIOUSLY, want to consider Russell Brand a nut. A long haired hipster goofball with no sense and a whole lot of money.
And yet Every Single Time I see anything from him, I can’t help but come away impressed.

Wasn’t Rogan big into conspiracy theories at one point?

Thats what I meant with my comment. He is an intellectual with intellectual hobbies who isn’t that smart himself.

Can we get a summary before spending 2 hours on a video? I know, a summary cannot do justice to his genius but can we?

and he’s a friend of Alex Jones!

I’d love to, but like I said, I can’t really keep up. This podcast is sort of fast, and from the hip.

They talk about society and capitalism, how they both evolved, and selfishness.

They explore how humanity should be more about love and community, rather than self and personal gain.

There is no way I can personally do it justice.

WEll, I do listen to Rogan’s podcast so I’ll definitely be getting to it.
