BellSouth/Outlook Express Problem

Every time I try to sign on to OE, I get knocked off the internet and have to sign back on. I run W98 SE with IE 6.0. I also cannot send e-mails through OE. How can I correct this?

I have Windows XP and I was having problems with OE. I called Microsoft and the guy had me install Windows Instant Messenger.
here I had other problems, but this solved part of the problem. The tech told me that the program had been uninstalled incorrectly.:confused: This may be no help for you but anyway… Good luck.

I recently spent hours on the phone with my parents helping with OE problems with Bell South DSL. Are you using DSL or dail-up? I’m not sure about dial-up, but I know there is a help page on the Bell South web site explaining how to set up OE with their DSL service. Let me know if you can’t find it.

How familiar are you with OE and its options. If you can post the properties for your OE mail account that may give us something to go on.

Go to Tools|Options|Connection and uncheck Hang up after sending and receiving if it is checked.
